Data type precision

The data type precision allows for spceifying the precision of certain numeric or temporal data types, such as:

NUMERIC(20) is a NUMERIC typed decimal number of a total of 20 digits before the decimal point. (see scale for an example with precision and scale)
TIMESTAMP(3) is a TIMESTAMP typed temporal value of 3 digits millisecond precision after the decimal point.
