As of jOOQ 3.21.0, this functionality has been deprecated, see https://github.com/jOOQ/jOOQ/issues/19353 for details. The recommended replacement is to use testcontainers or similar to emulate a Liquibase migration, similar to what is being recommended for Flyway: https://blog.jooq.org/using-testcontainers-to-generate-jooq-code/.
The jOOQ-meta-extensions-liquibase module implements optional Meta data querying capabilities to reverse engineer a Liquibase migration instead of a live database connection.
