The WHERE clause allows for adding a conditional expressions to the UPDATE statement, which restricts the rows to be updated.

Dialect support

This example using jOOQ:

update(BOOK).set(BOOK.TITLE, "New Title").where(BOOK.ID.eq(1))

Translates to the following dialect specific expressions:
