ST_GeomFromText

This function parses a WKT (Well-known text representation of geometry). For example:
create.select(stGeomFromText("POLYGON ((-1 -1, 1 -1, 1 1, -1 1, -1 -1))")).fetch();
The result being, for example
+-------------------------------------------+ | ST_GeomFromText | +-------------------------------------------+ | POLYGON ((-1 -1, 1 -1, 1 1, -1 1, -1 -1)) | +-------------------------------------------+
... which is a simple square:
