CREATE TYPE .. AS ENUM

Applies to ✅ Open Source Edition   ✅ Express Edition   ✅ Professional Edition   ✅ Enterprise Edition

jOOQ supports creating PostgreSQL ENUM types:

// Create a new ENUM type
create.createType("weekday")
      .asEnum("mon", "tue", "wed", "thu", "fri", "sat", "sun")
      .execute();

This example using jOOQ:

createType("t").asEnum("a", "b", "c")

Translates to the following dialect specific expressions:

CREATE TYPE t AS ENUM ('a', 'b', 'c')

-- ACCESS, ASE, AURORA_MYSQL, BIGQUERY, DB2, DERBY, DUCKDB, EXASOL, FIREBIRD, HANA, HSQLDB, INFORMIX, MARIADB, MEMSQL,
