The CURRENT_USER()
function produces the dialect dependent expression to produce the currently connected user for the JDBC connection.
SELECT current_user;
create.select(currentUser()).fetch();
The result being, for example
+--------------+ | current_user | +--------------+ | sa | +--------------+
