Extract a org.jooq.DatePart from a datetime value.
SELECT EXTRACT(MONTH FROM DATE '2020-02-03');
create.select(extract(Date.valueOf("2020-02-03"), DatePart.MONTH)).fetch();
The result being

This example using jOOQ:
