This predicate checks if a geometry contains another geometry. For example:

create.select(
  field(stContains(
    stGeomFromText("POLYGON ((-3 -1, -1 -1, -1 1, -3 1, -3 -1))"),
    stGeomFromText("POINT (-2 0)")
  )),
  field(stContains(
    stGeomFromText("POLYGON ((3 -1, 1 -1, 1 1, 3 1, 3 -1))"),
    stGeomFromText("POINT (4 0)")
  ))
).fetch();

The result being, for example

+-------------+-------------+
