The OPTION hint in SQL Server is used for query level hints.

For example:

SELECT field1, field2
FROM table1
OPTION (OPTIMIZE FOR UNKNOWN)

create.select(field1, field2)
      .from(table1)
      .option("OPTION (OPTIMIZE FOR UNKNOWN)")
      .fetch()

Not all of these query level hints include the OPTION keyword, which is why it must be added manually to the OPTION string in jOOQ.
